Each time I read a rhyming story,
Be it sweet or be it gory.
I wonder how the book would read,
If the words didn’t rhyme instead insteed.
Cause sometimes words are forced and pushed,
Until they’re broken, bent, or smushed.
And the flow seems out of whack.
As if the line had been attacked, hacked, hijacked, even bushwhacked.
Rhyming can be clever, sharp, and smart.
Alas, it is a tricky art.
Here’s the rule for rhyming glory
Story first.

Yeah.
I love that you didn’t rhyme the rule!
Anyone who’s suffered through reading
“Is your Mama a Llama” out loud would totally agree!
But to make a list of books with not-so-perfect rhymes would be tacky, right? I’m sure “Madeline” would agree… oops!
Hee, hee! (darn, that rhymed!)
Lee (ugh! Did it again!)
oh my! Isn’t that the truth! What a great poemific factmatic! I love it!! You make me smile!!
