I love the writing/gardening metaphor! The grass is always greener on the other side: except in your version, one side is a desert and one a greenhouse. What a fun place this is. I dreamed of dogs because of you. In real life I'm not comfortable around them, but the premise of the dream was that I <i>loved</i> them and that, in fact, all these dogs in my house were mine. So I was going up to them, making myself pet them and say their names and not be afraid of these hyperactive creatures--reminding myself they were mine--wondering why I felt so weird.
